She was so very excited to walk in and see cake and decorations!!
She was also surprised to receive a gift from our new friend, Sunni, from one of the local grocery stores. If we have too many bags to carry back on the rickshaw, Sunni will deliver them to our home. When he delivered our groceries today, he brought with him a nice set of oil paints for Emma's birthday from everyone at the store. Sunni represents what we have seen in so many people here - friendly and so very hospitable!! We are thankful for the many new friends the Father has brought before us as we live our normal everyday lives in this place!!
Just after Sunni left, we received our very first package from home. Aunt Jennifer, Uncle Jay, Jordan and Joseph mailed birthday cards and gifts for the girls. The sweet words from Jordan and Joseph brought tears ... the good kind of course. We're excited to hear that other letters/packages are on their way. Mail seems to mean so much more these days!
The birthday party officially begins! We're thankful for our friends at Dominos who cooked dinner for us tonight...
As always, Emma enjoys opening gifts ... maybe a little TOO much! :)
