Chr!stmas Decorating 2009!!

Today was a BIG day for our family .... we put our Chr!stmas tree up!! We had no idea what kind of tree, if any, we would find here, but we found the perfect tree Saturday and it was delivered around 6:00 PM this evening. While waiting on the tree, the kids were busy cutting out snowflakes to tape on the patio doors.

The tree was delivered just as you see it here. We know the season isn't all about the tree, but it sure has added so much more "home" to our home.

The lights are on ... now for the ornaments!

We played our Chr!stmas music on our dvd player. Notice our Koryo brand dvd player ... anyone ever hear of it???? Didn't think so... :)

Emma and our new tree topper!!

Jazzy's first Chr!stmas ... we hope the tree survives!!
We're so thankful we brought a few of our ornaments from home! This has always been the kids' favorite parts of tree decorating ... going through each one and remembering the person who gave them. This was no different this year!!

We didn't bring them all with us, but there was no way we couldn't bring the really special ones ... like our Toad Suck ornament!!

The tree is now decorated ... we're thankful the Father has given us this special gift!!

From outside our living room balcony....

Some of the other things we brought or bought...

One of our yearly traditions after we finish the tree is to turn off all the lights and listen to Chr!stmas carols. Most of us sit on furniture to do this, but Noah always does it from UNDER the tree. From the age of 2, he has always loved lying under the tree and looking up through all the lights. This year was no exception!! We are thankful for the Father's love ... and we are praying for opportunities, this season especially, to share the Light with our new city!!

I've always loved laying under the tree, too! The lights are especially pretty with my glasses off. Beautiful, happy pictures--I need to find a Toad Suck ornament!!
