Our new home

Some have asked about our new home, so we wanted to give a quick tour of the place we now call home. We recognize this as a gift from the Father and are grateful for the opportunities we have already had here. We are on the 3rd floor, which is really the 4th floor. Here, the 1st floor is really the ground floor and the 1st floor actually starts on the 2nd floor! :)

The living room, kitchen and dining room is one big open space...we've only been here a week, but it has quickly become home.

Some of the foods may look familiar ... some definitely will not!! Choco Pies are known in some areas as Moon Pies (notice our water filter behind the Choco Pies).

We've made some really good friends with some of our neighbors and are thrilled with their willingness to show us around. Noah has hit it off with one of our next door neighbors. Nintendo DS's are apparently a universal language. We were also invited to a celebration held in one of the banquet rooms over the weekend and enjoyed a night of fellowship, music, food and housie (AKA BINGO).

Our first 3 nights here coincided with one of the many festivals held here. This particular festival contained lights and many, many, many, many fireworks that were shot throughout the city, including the grounds where we live. These are not your typical "states" fireworks - much louder, much longer, much louder and much longer!! Did we mention LOUD!??!??!

It was a HUGE mess, but it was cleaned up very quickly!!

This truly is an amazing place to be. He loves this city. We love this city. Thank you for remembering our family during these days.
