What could have been stressful turned out to be a fun time with many laughs!! This is cart #1.

Grandmother and Poppie rolled in not long after. Noah and Emma were all about "helping" Poppie roll along!!
The biggest gift of all came when our parents and Carmen were given "guest passes" to walk us to our gate and stay there until our plane took off. What an awesome surprise and a great send off. He is SO good!!

It was a fun day with lots of laughing...
It was also an emotional day and it wouldn't be truth if we said it wasn't hard to say goodbye to our friends and family who we love so much. What carries us through, though, is the fact that we KNOW this home is temporary ... and a forever home awaits those who know the Truth. There is work to be done now and our "airport send-off" gave us the encouragement we needed to go forward and do this work with confidence. Thank You, Father, for this gift!! And thank you, our parents (and siblings), for loving us enough to let us go.
This picture defines what we all know and feel ... and that is a bond that will never be broken by distance!
The long journey then began...lots of excitement! The kids did amazingly well and on this "airport day", we took the advice we heard over 3 years ago from a friend who has walked this path before ... and that is to "enjoy the journey." And that we did!!
Some of the things that helped pass the time - watching movies, eating snacks, and "doing" techonology ... and above all, His mercy and grace!! It was a long day but one that will be etched in our hearts forever.
