Another family visit...

Southwestern hosts a youth ministry conference every spring. Churches and other organizations drive from all over the US to learn more about the effective ways of reaching the youth of today. Our brother-in-law, Dwayne, is involved with Hot Hearts youth ministry and always brings the HH booth as part of the conference...and as a special bonus the last couple years, we get some good family time (except for Karen who is knee-deep in tax season). Elizabeth, Noah, and Anna Beth have "helped" out the last two years, but this year they found what they call the "secret garden" which preoccupied most of their time.

Emma was excited to take Allie to her music class on Friday while the big kids were helping out at Hot Hearts.

From "Makeovers by Allie" to watching the computer (yes, we DO have a tv) to looking through old photo albums, spending this time with our family was very special.

We also found time to swim at the RAC...

We made our way to Trinity Park for a "Subway" picnic...

And the weather was perfect for a Trinity train ride afterwards.

A little "river fun" after the train ride...some slept while others played.

Nestled in the city is the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. It is always a treat to walk through and see up close and personal what G*d has created!! Saturday was no exception.

"Then G*d said, 'Let the land sprout with vegetation—every sort of seed-bearing plant, and trees that grow seed-bearing fruit. These seeds will then produce the kinds of plants and trees from which they came.'” Genesis 1:11

It was a fun weekend (and busy -- yes, this is where we found Emma at 5:00 AM the next morning...asleep), but it will definitely be a weekend to remember!! We love you guys!!

Our pictures (from the months leading up to our departure, especially) are some of our most precious possessions. They come up on our screen saver, and the kids just sit and watch. You guys are doing a great job at making lasting memories!
