I think Emma took this picture...the only ones who knew she was taking it were Brenden and Elizabeth and obviously Elizabeth did not want her picture taken!
Barry was a good pricer for our many bargains....
Brenden and Emma founds ways to amuse themselves with the merchandise....
After closely watching the weather forecast, we ventured out Sat. morning and got everything set up. It sprinkled rain many times, and many times we were hoping that it wouldn't downpour! But it never did and we got rid of tons of stuff.
Some of us worked....(me and my Dad bagging up stuff)
And some of us just hung out....(our little nephew Blaine with my mom...he was a sick one that day!)

I don't know how we would have done it all without the help of our family...

All in all it was a great success! 
The kids amazed us with their willingness to part with their things. In a way, it seems sad to get rid of things that we wouldn't be getting rid of if we weren't moving overseas. But, we have discovered that our kids are much more appreciative of what they do have when they don't have so much, so its not a bad thing at all. I'm realizing more and more how much our perspectives and priorities needed an overhaul and sit back in wonder over how G*d is accomplishing that in our lives and in the lives of our children. And for that I am thankful. It reminds me of our favorite Veggie Tale movie: Madame Blueberry! If you haven't watched it, its well worth your time!

I'm glad you had a good time with your family.
You are in our prayers as you continue to prepare for your world travels.
You've moved that "stone" a little further down the path. I'll never forget Joanna's story about the stone she moved down the hall all the way to the front door, as you waited on God's leading to seminary. What a blessing that story was!
As God leads you step-by-step to your field of service, I still see you moving that "stone," and once again, I am filled with JOY and BLESSING! I'll never be able to go or do the things you are going to get to do, but your vivid descriptions, your passionate heartcries for your neighbors who have been in need, your photos that bring us even closer to these people, and then the updates that follow have endeared us to the path you are on, and we can almost feel like we're picking up that stone and moving with you. Truly, you make it a blessing to check this blog and pray for you. Thank you for taking time to share your hearts and your home/family with us.
We know that if hearts could speak, yours will have no problem with communication when you reach your place of service. "May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal encouragement and good hope by grace, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good work and word." (2 Thess. 2:16-17)
