Through the lens of Elizabeth's camera

Elizabeth asked us last night if we wanted to look at some of the pictures she's taken with her camera over the past several months. She has such a passion for photography and what seems to be a G0d-given talent. This post is strictly through the lens of Elizabeth Ashley's camera!

Just before we began our summer adventure last July ... our little family trip to Petit Jean State Park (notice her very girly luggage).

From the tropical side of Elizabeth's camera comes a little luau action with some Conway friends...

Friends from our training who will be friends for a lifetime!! So neat to see the kids still keeping up with their friends who have literally been planted all throughout the world.

We couldn't ask for two more g0dly role models than these two young ladies ... forever heart friends to all of us but especially Elizabeth.

These two may have their share of "intense moments of fellowship", but they truly are the best of friends! We had fun getting a glimpse at the fun they had as we were going somewhere.....

One of the last pictures with their Poppie!! They loved him so much. We all did. Little did we know then.....

Elizabeth took these pictures on the way back from our recent trip to the states.....

She got a couple really cool shots of the Swiss Alps!!

These screens were in front of each of our seats. We were able to watch unlimited movies, listen to music, and as you can see here track our plane. Looks like she captured this moment just as we flew over Munich.

Elizabeth took these next few pictures on the way to a friends house yesterday .... our taxi didn't show up, so we decided to just go for it and drive ourselves. We made it there with no problems, and in the process, Elizabeth really captured some amazing shots. The next two pics are 2 of the many temples we saw along the way.

As well as some of the heart ache.....homelessness and slums everywhere.

This picture of Noah looking at the slums is a perfect picture of what we all feel when we're in a face-to-face situation with something like this. You know it exists, but you just can't fully "see" it until you really see it. One of the many reasons we're okay with this life is the realization that our kids (and us) will come away from this experience as changed children of G0d. Please talk to the Father about the masses who live day to day like this. These are the people He sent us to talk to.

Our friends live in a newly developed IT area of the city, and to get there, we went the "backway", which happened to take us through what seemed to be countryside. In the middle of nowhere, we noticed yet another temple.

We hope you enjoyed looking through some of her pictures as much as we did. She's saving her money now so she can upgrade to a new camera. We look forward to seeing how she continues to use the talent the Father has given her.
