Sending balloons to Poppie....

The day we received "the call" was the hardest day we've experienced since being on this side of the world. It is something no one is really ever prepared for, but to be so far from home and hear the words "Daddy died" just about made it unbearable. But with the Father's Hand guiding each mile of the way, we made it home and was able to be with our family. A few days later, Grandmother wanted us to all gather at Poppie's grave and send him balloons to heaven. Words cannot describe the sadness we all feel, but because he knew, we know his absense from the body means he was face-to-face with his Maker the minute he took his last breath ... and that fills our hearts with comfort and peace.

Grandmother and ALL the grands just before the "balloon release!"

There was just something special about this day....

There will be a day with no more tears, no more pain, no more fears. There will be a day when the burdens of this place will be no more, we'll see Je$us face to face. But until that day, we'll hold on to You always. There will be a day He wipes away the tears. Yes, there WILL be a day!!
