AWANA LOCK-IN!!!

The older AWANA kids had a lock-in last night with about 45 kids and 12-15 adults showing up!! We were excited to have a couple of our neighborhood friends go with us. There are still some days when it feels surreal that we are here, but with each passing day, we find ourselves feeling more and more blessed that He led us to this place!!

The "beds" were set up and tested...

We went over the rules for the night...

And the fun began....starting with PIZZA!!!

There was a night full of game rotations -- Wii, Xbox 360, dodge ball on an open field, board games and anything else that came to mind!!

The majority of the night was spent eating, playing games, and just hanging out, but there was a definite emphasis on the Truth with every student having an opportunity to accept the Gift. It is amazing what He can teach through simple object illustrations!! His Word is transforming...

We are thrilled with how He crossed our paths with so many wonderful friends. The kids have really found their place and have grown to love it here.

We are blessed to be surrounded by kids who want to learn as well as adults who want to teach...and have fun in the process!!

The 6:30 "rise and shine" call...some slept, many didn't...but everyone had fun!! An incredible night of learning more about the One who came to save!!
