Kecia said...: Hey guys! I love the pictures! I just finished reading the WHBC email with your update and prayer requests...boy can I relate! Isn't it funny how different our paths are right now, yet God (and a lot of what He's teaching us) is the same. My 2 older girls are having a hard time adjusting, too--especially Jessica. They, too, have their nights when they cry and break my heart, and ask not only "Why did we have to leave Conway?" but also, "Why did we have to leave Moscow?" Every morning before school they beg to be homeschooled. I trust as I continue to talk about following God, it will someday click. I also have used the same words as you, Joanna, when we were deciding to move here--if we say we would follow him to Africa or China or wherever, surely we can follow Him to Magnolia. And now that we're here, I feel so completely certain we're where He wants us, and have the peace that goes with that. We found our church home already (only 2 to choose from-ha!) and absolutely love it. We immediately felt at home there.
You have a "few" more choices in Cowtown! I'm a little envious of Joanna getting to go to Beth Moore. She's going to be in San Antonio next August; wouldn't it be fun if we could meet there! Sorry this is such a long comment. Just wanted to catch up! We'll keep praying for you--please pray for us, for our house to sell; for wisdom with the girls' education; for their friendships/dependence on God; and for Mike's ministry. We had the opportunity to visit with Wedgwood's pastor this afternoon...he asked how we heard of the church and we mentioned you guys among others. He was very complimentary of you guys and even mentioned your dad and what a blessing it was to have him in worship with his 'Amens'. We appreciated hearing that and thought you would too!
