Has it been a month already?!

Its hard to believe that it will be a month ago tomorrow that we loaded up the truck to move here! Today was a good day....we are getting into a routine and getting more comfortable with our surroundings. Neighborhood friends come and knock on the door to see if the kids can play which is so neat. As a family we very much feel as though we are being carried by the prayers of many and we are so thankful and so humbled and so amazed at the goodness of God. Today was kind of a crazy day for many we know....with layoffs going on and dear friends losing jobs....and my sister endured yet another hurricane early this morning but they are safe. It was supposed to just be a tropical storm but turned into a hurricane overnight. She desribed the loud constant wind, like a train....and then a quiet and stillness for a time that surprised her (the eye of the hurricane)...and then again the loud constant wind. It reminded me of how the craziness of life whirls around us but if we stay in the center, in the still and quiet and safe place with God, there is that peace that truly surpasses all understanding.
