Mother's Day 2010

Steve here ... Happy Mother's Day to the one who makes this life journey complete. Her family and friends love her, her children adore her, and I can't imagine life without her. The kids each designed their own wrapping paper and couldn't wait to shower their mom with gifts on her special day!!

We then drove to a very special place to celebrate a very special day. Not a place we can really afford to go too often, but the kids and I decided that today would be worth the extra cost!!

This kind of breakfast isn't too common in our city, so we were all wearing big smiles this morning!! We also decided to eat outside and are thankful we did.

An amazing morning .... waterfalls behind us, palms all around us, and the Father continuously walking before us. We are so thankful for the gift He gave us today.

The restaurant, the waitstaff and the cooks were just amazing ... and Joanna's meal was a gift on the house in honor of her on Mother's Day!!

We walked around the hotel for a little while after breakfast...

"Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her." Proverbs 31:28. We probably don't do this enough; in fact, I know we don't. We love you, Joanna Marie, and are thankful the Father sent you to our family!! This is my favorite picture of the day....

We then spent time walking around in the gardens....

We would love to have spent some time here, but it was not to be on this day (or any other day since we would need to be GUESTS of the hotel). No charge to look though! :)

His creation is all around us ... a reminder that He is right here with us in this city!!

Meeting a new friend on the way out .... we've had some pretty tough days the past few weeks, but this day was not one of them. Thank You, Father, for this day!!
