What an AMAZING group of young people!! Today was the first full day of working with M Arlington. The day started early for the team, but we weren't able to make it until 1:15 or so. There were 6 or 7 other churches represented at the M center, but we easily found our group as they all wore their "sea blue WHBC shirts." How much fun we had walking into this group and just being a part of things. It felt as if we'd never left!! We sang a few songs, prayed and then drove over to the apartment complex that we were assigned to. We drove up to the parking lot around 2:30 and immediately started going door-to-door, asking those who were home to meet us at the pool area at 3:00. God brought 30-40 people to the area, mostly children, where we spent close to 2 hours rotating them in and out of different stations that our teams set up: games, crafts, memory verses, etc. No one sits by on the sidelines...every student is an active participant in this M. We were absolutely amazed at their maturity!! Prayerfully the seeds that were planted will take root and grow.

It was so neat to see these young people go right up to the front doors of the apartments and invite entire families to meet us at the pool. Bold witnesses for Christ - this is what we saw today. Emma even got in on the action but quickly turned and ran once she knocked!!

Kids and adults started showing up around 2:50...

Joe really kept things moving...

Tyler and his crew started out with a little singing - Father Abraham, Deep and Wide, and Je$us Loves Me. Some knew the songs, many learned them.

Mrs. Amanda and her team taught a Bible verse...Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Everyone loved the puppet ministry...

Will and Matt presented a drama...

The craft corner was a HIT!!! Amazing what you can do with a coffee filter, markers, clothes pins and a little water...

Much enery was released during the game rotation. The kids enjoyed playing with our youth and it looked like our youth had just about as much fun playing with the kids. Wes and his team were incredible!!

Molly and Kayla both shared their personal testimonties...how they came to know Je$us and the difference He has made in their lives.

There's nothing quite like a M trip - many new friendships will be made and many old ones will be made stronger. Whether you're a parent of one of these young people (or the spouse of one of the older people), or if you've never met any of them, you can know that the love of Je$us was shown today. Je$us met the people where they were...and today, the M Arlington crew rolled up their sleeves and met the people where they were. We're so proud of them. Please join us in praying for the entire team for the remainder of the week as well as those who they will be ministering to.
