Best friends...

We had a Super Bowl party Sunday afternoon at our home. We ended up having 8 neighborhood kids over...as well as a couple from our church that we have grown to love dearly, along with their 2 daughters...and our family of 5. If you're counting, that's 17 people...in OUR house!! If you've BEEN to our home, you are probably smiling at this point. But it worked out really nice and everyone had a good time, except for the Patriot fans. Vanessa got here a little early and brought Elizabeth a present. It's hard to see in the picture, but she gave her one of those necklaces that is actually a set of 2 - Vanessa kept one and gave the other one to Elizabeth. Each necklace has a charm - one says 'best' and the other says 'friends.' We've seen these before, but it takes on a whole new meaning when your child receives one. Vanessa and Elizabeth have really become close over the past few months...and Elizabeth was so touched by her gift. We have prayed for friends like Vanessa. To see God's faithfulness, especially in the lives of our children, is truly amazing!! Thank you, God, for friends far and near!!
