What happens when you run out of water????

You call a water truck of course!! :) We woke up a few days ago to discover that both of our tanks were completely dry. This is not the norm here as it is in some other countries where there is a water shortage. We have read many stories from close friends who depend on the rain from the sky to fill their tanks ... and in that, we have joined them in talking to Father about it. When we moved here, never did we think we'd find ourselves without water.

It seems that either our water meter was pulled ... or there never was one and we eventually used all the water from the 2 tanks. Either way, we got up on a Sunday morning with no water! We ended up calling a friend who put in a call for us to have a truck load of water delivered to our home. We've had pizza delivered as well as veggies, groceries, and even bottled drinking water. But never a truck-load of water!!

For the low, low price of 700 bahts ($23 and come change), we filled our 2 water tanks. The owner and his son were in and out in about 15 minutes.

The dad drives the truck and this little guy scales the water tank and does his thing!!

And he did it well ... we were thankful to have water again and thankful our water meter was replaced the next day!! Never a dull moment ... that's for sure!! NOTE ** This is our water for bathing, washing dishes, etc ... not for drinking. That water is delivered once a week for $5.02. :)
