Nothing like a little tropical storm to help pass the time away as we waited on our first official visitor!! Our front door opens to an open air breezeway ... thankfully the wind-blown look is in (or is it?)!! The kids loved being out in it until the thunder and lightening started up!!

We've never seen winds quite like this!!

Hard to tell in the pictures, but the trees were doing backbends!!

After a few hours of sleeping Wednesday night, we were up and at 'em early Thursday morning. Noah introduced Alan to the game of "hallway cricket."

The kids loved spending time with their "old" friend from Conway via Singapore ... we ALL did!!

Before going out for the day, we took him on a walk around the complex.....

One of our favorite places to eat with one of our favorite people!! This is an open air restaurant known for their burgers and steaks. A nice breezy day, the best burgers in town, catching up with an "old" friend ... a great, great day!!
We then did a little shoppin' ... and a whole lot of walkin'!!

Looking for souvenirs to take back home to family ... this price clearly was "not too bad."

The bongo vendor even made a sale!!

An interesting sight ... as we were going to lunch the next day, we were stopped at a very busy intersection. We look to our left and see these men loading up a tree trunk ... by HAND.

Teamwork pays off!!!

After the tree intersection, we then found ourselves at the next intersection. All types of people stand at busy intersections looking for anything that the passers-by might be willing to give them. We keep bags of rice in the truck and have them ready to pass out for this very reason. This young boy and his friend were just precious ... all smiles. Some people aren't appreciative and have even turned down the rice because they want money instead. Not the case for these boys.

Lunch at a new Mexican place we've recently found....

Working off the lunch with a little bowling ... the 6 of us, plus 2 of Noah's friends all bowled for about $4 (including shoe rental)!!

A great brother-sister team!!

blessings and prayers...
What fun to have Alan there...I know that you all enjoyed him and he must have gotten a "shot of old home" too.
Great post! But come on, Wii tennis sitting down? That's like my girls running on Wii fit by shaking the remote up and down! ;)
