Cookie fun!!

One of our most favorite things to do at Christmas is make and decorate cookies. Grandma has always done a great job at making them so all we have to do was decorate them ... but this year we had to make AND decorate them. It was fun, though, and Elizabeth quickly whipped up a triple recipe of sugar cookie dough!!

We don't have sprinkles here, but we have some friends back home that made sure we could still have some decorating fun! Thank you, friends!!

A couple of our favorite things to look at in our home ... fresh flowers and our Christmas tree!!

It was a challenge to get the frosting to come out just right, but it finally worked and with a little food coloring, we had some colorful cookies!!

And 15 dozen cookies later, we were all happy people!!

And of course, after a full day of cooking and decorating, Emma also had fun picking out the perfect three to "leave out." It was definitely different this Christmas being so far away from our friends and family back home, but we had a fun Christmas Eve and are so thankful to the Father for the gift of great family fun!!
