The L0rd gives ... and the L0rd takes away!

It seems that the last 2-3 years have been full of goodbyes for all of us. In fact, our lives for the next several years will be just that - continuous goodbyes. We prefer to say "see ya later", but it still doesn't make it any less difficult when reality points to the fact that people we grow to love will cycle in and out of our lives. One of Elizabeth's closest friends got on a plane tonight and flew out of our city. She and Elizabeth quickly became friends when we were still in the states because of so many things in common - love for pets, nature, photography. They are both laid back and love the simple things. They've had several sleepovers together ... and the pictures below are from a sleepover last weekend. It was a fun weekend of just being silly girls. They saw monkeys, picked flowers, took a gazillion pictures. Elizabeth will miss her friend, but thanks to facebook and email, they will continue to stay in touch for years to come.

We have also grown to love her mom and dad. What a blessing they have been to us in these 3 short months!
