Some of you were aware of the "Great Chicken Demonstration" last week. The extracurricular team came up with 20-25 different workshops right after we arrived and we all got to vote on the 4 events we wanted. Workshops for the 4 most popular events were held last Saturday, including the 'how-to-kill-and-prepare-a-chicken.' We first heard about this from our friend Angie but didn't know if we would "get to" or not. Noah really wanted to get his hands on a chicken, but this is about as far as he got. Once their eyes met (the chicken and Noah), there was no way he could do it. We did get a lesson, though, just in case we even need to know!!

A little bit of quad life...we have played more games the last 5 weeks than we have the last year. The kids have loved playing with all the 20-somethings. What amazing role models these young people have been for the kids here (aside from one of the stories you can read more about below). :)

There's a long story about the wheel chair, but let's just say we have a friend who had a LOT of fun with it last Friday night!! Noah had fun with it, too....

We babysat for a young couple over the weekend and kept the kids in their quad so they could go to bed at their regular bedtime. Elizabeth invited a friend over as well and another friend created a form of art called 'henna' on their hands/arms that is popular in other places of the world. The girls had a great time and are enjoying displaying their art. It will eventually wear off in 4-6 weeks.

After our Friday night babysitting job was over, we walked Elizabeth's friend home under a beautiful moon. His creation is amazing, both day and night!!

Of course, Elizabeth found a cat....

We also met a young M who has excelled at completing a Rubik's Cube in 46 seconds. He brought it over one day and mesmerized Noah with his "talent."

A few days ago, we went to bed to discover that "Lottie" had made her way into our quad. The younger 20-something M's have this little game going on where unsuspecting individuals will find this cutout in various locations in their home. There's nothing quite like going to bed only to find someone else in it! We, of course, kept the game going and delivered her to the home of another unsuspecting friend ... in their shower to be exact. Who knows where she is tonight, but we're certain that she's still going around strong!! :)
