cutting the cloth of our lives by a new pattern...

"This is my doing." 1 King 12:24

I am the God of circumstances. You did not come to this place by accident -- you are exactly where I meant for you to be. -- Streams in the Desert

It is easy to say that God and His plans are our most essential endeavors -- it is entirely another thing to live like this is so. God's "interruptions" are no less important than anything else He would have us do. This time of waiting is our calling right now. We should wait obediently, patiently, joyfully, confidantly, and expectantly. -- Jonah study, Priscilla Shirer

God will take away all the supports we customarily lean upon, and will remove our ordinary ways of doing things. He will close us off to something divine, completely new and unexpected, and that cannot be understood by examining our previous circumstances. We will be in a place where we do not know what is happening, where God is cutting the cloth of our lives by a new pattern, and thus where He causes us to look to Him. -- Streams in the Desert
