The day has FINALLY arrived...
Soon after we moved here, Aunt Karen informed Elizabeth that an American Girl doll store would be opening in Dallas on November 3. Since that time, she has been saving her money as well as happily accepting gift certificates for her birthday... in hopes that her dream would one day come true. We took a "field trip" today and left for Dallas early this morning to see what this store was all about. Emma has been saving her birthday money as well and had big plans to buy her Bitty Baby a lambie and pink shoes (she also had enough $$$ to buy a high chair). As we drove towards the Galleria, the girls saw THE sign and were absolutely giddy with excitement (Noah...not so much)!!! We walked around in the store for a while trying to decide exactly which purchases to make and then made our way to the long check out line. The girls then went upstairs and had lunch at the Bistro while the guys found a much cheaper pizza place in the mall (and took the bags to the van). The server even seated the dolls that they brought with them in their own booster chair. This was definitely one of those memory-making days...and one that has made moving here a little sweeter!!

Awww how fun! We really don't know a whole lot about the American Girl phenomenon but it looks so fun.
