A surprise visit from Mr. Marty!!!

We got a call today from Blake's dad (aka Mr. Marty). Marty and his family are good friends of ours from Conway, and Marty just so happens to be in the D/FW area this week on business. Noah has been best friends with Blake since they were in diapers. While Noah was staying at their home over the 4th of July weekend, he left a pair of shoes...so Marty decided to bring them home since he was going to be so close. It's not uncommon for friends to drop by...but not normally friends who live 6-7 hours away!! We enjoyed our visit with him and was excited that he got to meet some of the neighborhood kids. We've said it often - Marty and Karla (and all 4 of their kids) are just good people! It has been fun to watch Noah and Blake grow over the years. We are so glad that the distance between us hasn't impacted their friendship over the past year.
