Five years ago today, we met Emma Catherine for the very first time. Before we “heard” about her, our family was complete…or so we thought. You see, Emma’s name means “whole” or “complete” and that is exactly what she has done to our family. G*d brought her to us to complete us. She came into this world as our strong-willed child and, though she has tamed down a lot, G*d is showing us more and more with each passing day how He is using and will continue to use this strong will for His good and for His glory. We can already see Emma’s role in reaching the lost for Christ. Her personality personifies joy, her eyes truly are the gateway to her heart, and when she flashes her smile, it’s as if every light on earth has just been turned on. She has been given a very unique love for music and cracks us up when she “creates” her own songs. G*d has orchestrated many changes in our lives over the past few years, but Emma has been one of those changes that we cannot imagine not having taken place in our lives. We love you, Emma!
